Hello Everyone,
*
Ok so I have a lot to tell you I made a list so that I could get everything in it and so I would not forget. First let me just start by saying that Mom I hope you get better this is not the week for you to be sick. Sisters take care of her and make sure she knows how much I love you and want her to feel better so she can enjoy the week.
*
Next I just got the paper that said I got a package so I will go and get it later today. Thanks for sending it. I don't know what you put in it but I am sure it will be great. I hope you won’t be mad at me but the next box you send if you could put in it my pair of jeans that I said I would want (I know Katie you told me so :) also the book Jesus the Christ and my search for happiness. Also true to the Faith (that one is in my white tub 2nd draw). Don't hate me I just realized how many things I forgot and should have brought. I am sure I will think of more later :)
*
Ok so now onto the other things and answering your questions. Mom a normal Sunday for my district goes like this. We wake up at 6:30 (6:00 for me) and get ready go and study then go to breakfast at 7:30 then we have more study time until RS at 10:00 (all the sisters at the MTC) and then we have president interviews (with our branch President...Pres Shelley) and then lunch and then more study time and then Sacrament at 3:00 with our zone. Last week I had to give the Prayer in Spanish...let’s just say I was a little nervous but It went ok and I still lived. Of course how could I die I was talking to the Lord :) Then after that we go to dinner then I go to choir practice with my companion (tons of fun) then we have a fireside and then a movie. by that time it is 9:00pm and time to plan and go to bed. A Busy day but a good one.Next you asked if I have seen any General Authority.....NO not YET however this week all the new mission Presidents are coming in to get trained and guess who is all here, yep all the 12 and the Prophet. I have not seen any yet (they keep everything blocked off for them) but tonight we have a devotional and we are told it will be a good one so I will probably see one tonight. But it should be great I am excited. I will let you know who it is and how it goes. I am singing for it tonight so I get a reserved good seat. :)
*
My district it good all the elders are great and we get along well. We have 12 in all 4 Hermanas and 8 Elders. We are some pilot group for the MTC so we are treated extra good. Instead of hard seats with desks we have nice computer chairs (that spin and go up and down so fun!!!! :0) and tables. Instead of a little room we have a rather large one with a big red wall :) Instead of paper and pencils we have.......LAPTOPS. Yep I said it Laptops. They want to see how it goes so we get a laptop to take notes on and use the language programs and mormon.org and lds.org. WE have full internet access but we are not to use anything except for Google docs (where we take our notes) and the church websites. Pretty cool huh. However, we started with pen paper for the first two weeks so I kind of like that but the computer does come in handy. But I think I might keep my pen and paper so all my notes can be in one area. Our teacher tells us that we are a Celestial group ha ha ha whatever (it has its advantages and disadvantages we are the ones getting all the kinks out.) We can't use the computer to e-mail so I am at the laundry room writing you right now and doing my laundry. My teachers are great one of them however is sick with Mono so we keep having subs so we might be getting a new one we will have to wait and see.
*
Mom as for my e-mails you don't have to send them to everyone since Becky set up that blog for me now they can just read them there. However keep sending them to Arica and Alli (when Mindy gets out and I get her e-mail you can send them to here as well). Thanks for doing that for me and Becky thanks for the blog. You are all the best....

Margie- I am happy that you liked you gift I had fun making it. I miss you tons, I got you hymn cover and I love it. I figured out what everything said and I really do love it. My district likes it too. Some of them said I want one where did you get it and I said you have to have a cool sister like I do and then you can get one.:) I love you tons and tons and miss you tons more. I love you MOP BUCKET!!!!!As for coming to see me I can't wait however with this whole mission President thing going on I can't get to the person I need to talk with but I does not have to be right now so If you want to wait till next month that is fine. I will ask and see how long you can visit and if you could eat lunch with me and all the details. Fridays are my P-Days ( I have the temple in the morning till 10 (except these next two weeks it is closed for cleaning) then I am free to do whatever until 6:00 at night ) so you could come on that day but really any day would work I am always busy and I will just have to get out of class. So just pick a day let me know and I will figure out the details and let you know as well.
*
Tell Grandma that I love her and miss her tons. Thanks so much for everything you do for me I could not have asked for a better grandma. This letter is long enough I am so sorry it is a good thing I found a computer with no timer or I would be out of luck. I think I covered everything. Have fun this week Good luck on your talk Margie and good luck with the musical number all of you. I love you tons This church is True. Joseph Smith was a true Prophet and he did help to restore this church. I am so grateful for eternal families (you are all the best). I love you all!

I guess I will start answering some of the questions you have all asked.Mom the letter you are looking for might be in the top drawer of the white tub in my room if it is not in there then it might me in the night stand, it not in there then I don't remember. I don't have the same teacher as Uncle Dan and Aunt Janice. My teachers are Brother Osuna (from Mexico) and Sister Waterson (from Utah). They are both good and teach well.
*
I have seen Uncle Dan and Aunt Janice again. They came and we ate lunch together one day. They are doing great and everyone loves them. I guess they met my zone before I got here and so I have had tons of people in my zone tell me that my Aunt and Uncle are cool!!! They are well liked here and some of the missionaries ask them to get them stuff from the store. So they are helpful too.
*
My spanish is horrible but what can you do. I am working hard and learning so we will just have to see. We teach the first lesson again tonight (in english) but the getting to know you questions are all in spanish. It is just hard because in class we go over something in spanish in like 10 min and you just have to hope you understand it and then practice it on your own. :) I already told you about my companion, Hermana Groesbeck she is amazing.!!! I am doing well and things are going great. This is the Lords work.

Dear Family

So I was given some time off to do some laundry and other stuff so I decided to write you a better letter than I did before. My real P-day is not until Friday so that is when I will be able to set up my e-mail so you will have to wait until then. I all ready told you about my companion so I won't go into that again.
My teachers that help me to learn Spanish is not the same one that I took lessons with Dan this summer on the phone but I do have some real good ones. They are Brother Osung, Sister Lovejoy, and Sister Waterson. They are all really helpful. We have already started everything.
*
We got to bare our testimonies in Spanish to some Elders who were from Chile and Mexico who were learning English. That was a little intimidating but I made it through it and lived. Also they have had us teach the first lesson all ready. However we got to do that in English because we don't know enough Spanish. On Wednesday the 17th we get to give the first lesson again but we have to introduce ourselves and get in the door in Spanish. We are moving right along. They are pushing me out of my comfort zone but I will make it. My teacher said that those who don't worry about making a fool of themselves learn the language a lot faster and better. So I guess I will try and make a fool of myself a lot so I can learn.
*
My other roommates are out of quarantine and they are fine now. I think I am doing good with everything the food is good like they say but don't worry I have only had one glass of O.J. ha ha ha!! I found all of your letters you put in my luggage but I have had a hard time trying to read them because they don't leave you any time. Thanks for the words of encouragement I need all of them.
*
My district is good we are all going different places. Four to Ecuador, 2 to Canada, 1 to SLC, Washington Las Vegas, Oklahoma, Missouri and me to Nashville. There are 12 of us all together 4 Hermanas, 8 Elders. Let me just tell you that you can tell the Elders are 19, they act like it but don't you worry we will whip them into shape!!!
*
Well I am running out of things to say so I shall write to you all later. I talked to my branch President about being able to visit with Margie and he told me to talk to this other person so I will do that on Sunday. Miss you all and Love you Tonz and Tonz!!!

Dear Family,
I don't have much time to write but they said to try and get a letter off to you so that you won't worry about me. Things are good, a little overwhelming but good. My companion is amazing. Her name is Hermana Groesbeck from Provo. She is going to Ecuador as a nurse and she is 24 and is really fun to have as a companion. I think we will work well together. My P-day is on Friday so that is when I will be able to write you.

I have seen so many friends that I know from school and I have seen Chris Hipwell a few times. I don't know how long our schedules will be the same so probably not much longer. My Branch President is President Shelley and when his wife saw my name she asked me what my dad’s mane was and I said Mark and then she said is he from Alpine area. I told her yeas and she said that she went to school with my dad and graduated with Uncle Harold or would have if they hadn't moved to Idaho. Her name was Kristen Magee but now it is Shelley. It sure is a small world isn't it.

I live in my room with four other sisters. Two of the sisters are in quarantine right now with the flu. We are not allowed to hug or shake hands right now they are hoping to have the swine flu under control and taken care of very soon. Sorry this is so short but I will write more when i have time this Friday. I am doing well the MTC is amazing and you can feel the spirit.

Love you all

THE MTC
We (Mark, Marla, Katie and Becky) drove down and dropped Emily off at the Missionary Training Center yesterday (June 10th). It was a bittersweet time for us; we are both excited for her and sad with the fact that it will be a year and a half before we see her come home. Let’s hope time flies! Anyway, here are some pictures from our trip to Provo.
Emily, Becky, and Katie- trying to get Sister Hegerhorst's HEAVY suitcases out of the car
(we totally posed for this picture)
Becky, Emily, and Katie
Elder Dan Hegerhorst, Sister Janice Hegerhorst, and Sister Emily Hegerhorst
Dan and Jan are Emily's Uncle and Aunt, they too decided to serve a mission and are going to Uruguay, they will be in the MTC for about a month or more with Emily... what a neat time for them all.
